Peace & Love for Yeager Benefit Concert
April 5, 2012

From the Stratford Citizen:

Friends and family of the Stratford area music community have come together to organize a benefit concert and silent auction for three local artists injured in a recent car accident.

Adair, Bailey and Chiapolino were critically injured in a two-vehicle car accident near Harmony while on their way home from a gig in Woodstock. Adair, known for his sign-off phrase “Peace and Love,” remains in critical care and it’s expected he’ll have a long road to recovery.

From Facebook:
Steve Adair, well known in Stratford and area as the versatile musician Yeager, was recently in a two-vehicle car accident near Harmony, sustaining multiple serious injuries. Also injured in the vehicle were city residents and fellow musicians Andrew Bailey and Fred Chiapolino. The three Stratford residents were returning home from a gig in Woodstock.

Yeager has been in critical care ever since, however each day brings progress and a step closer to getting better. His road to recovery is going to be a long one, but those who know Yeager, expect his return to the stage to be much quicker than any doctor might suggest.

For the past three decades, Yeager has been an integral part of our community, donating his talent and time to
help those in need. Steve was always the first to volunteer for an organization requiring talent and assisted many in
coordinating entertainment for fundraising events.

It is now our turn to return his always generous favours.

Friends and family of the Stratford area music community have come together to organize a benefit concert to raise funds to offset current and upcoming expenses for Yeager and his friends Andrew and Fred.

Yeager’s favourite sign off is “Peace and Love”, so with that, we are pleased to announce the “Peace & Love for Yeager Benefit Concert”. The date for this event will be Thursday, April 5th at the Rotary Recreation Complex in Stratford.
We have already been blessed by many amazing artists that will be participating in this incredible show of support. It seems the entire music community and also the charitable organizations that Steve donated his time to, have stepped up to assist with this tremendous cause.

Tickets will be available at Filsinger Music, Long & McQuades, Music in Sebringville, Needles, Party Supply Company & Cooksville Tire in Embro. Tickets will be $20 in advance and $25 at the door.

For anyone wishing to make a financial contribution to the Adair Family Fund, please visit the CIBC Branch in Stratford.
For those interested in making a Silent Auction Donation, please contact Tracey Frey at tfrey@telus.blackberry.net or 519.998.9492 or Michelle Hundt at jtmitch@sympatico.ca or 519.273.3782

For any business interested in becoming a sponsor, please contact Maggie McCullum at 519.271.1605

Due to the overwhelming response, this concert is sure to sell out, so get your tickets now!
